WEEEEEEE! I've just been asked to fill in for another cast as Eddie next month, bringing my list of shows for October to THREE. That's October 2nd (this friday) with my normal WUT cast. Then Saturday, October 17th with Dark Refrain in South Pasadena. Finally October 30th again with WUT for the Hallowe'en show (actually the tamest of the shows). SO EXCITED!
Also, I learned that for the show this friday I can totes do something Hallowe'en'y since the actual Hallowe'en show is so mild. If I can afford it, FULL ZOMBIE SHIT, YO!

Just finished reading Baby With The Bathwater by Christopher Durang. Worst play I've read to date. Sucks that I have to perform a scene from it in a few weeks!

So the audition went okay, but I have no reason to think I got the part. Don't care, it was fun and, more importantly, proved a point to me. I fucking love acting. All these years I've never given it a real shot, but I just loved doing it. It's pretty much a hundred percent by this point that I'm switching majors to theater and going to give it an honest-to-Tom Hanks shot.
By the by, it was for the play Rabbit Hole. I was auditioning for the part of Howie, the father of a boy who was just killed in an accident, and he and his wife are having problems coping. It's a great play, you should all read/watch it at some point.
Coming up soon, I'll be going to Santa Ana with my friend Kristine to meet up with Jono who's going to, in turn, introduce me to a guy who owns a gallery space and might be interested in showing some of my photos. I went to Walgreens to run off a really shitty make-shift portfolio of 4x6s (I'm hoping that won't count against me too bad, it's all I could afford to do). It's pretty weird seeing actual prints of my photos, though, instead of on the computer. I have a few prints of other photos, but these ones are just for me, which is weird.
Tomorrow, I'm working on the Wonder Woman Day painting, and labor day too. I need it done by tuesday so I can ship it out, and make sure it'll actually get INTO the auction and show. Have to have to have to! I have to cut it from two to one image, too, 'cause I'm so late. Oh well!

Had an impromptu trip to the Getty museum with my dad and sister, which was pretty awesome. Dad just rang me up and asked "What're you doing?" Being totally honest I said "Not a thing."
"Want to go to the Getty?"
"HELL YEAH!" It was only open for like an hour and a half after we got there, but it was awesome to go.
In other news I double-checked my schedule for classes, and only one of the classes I was signed up for is still open (ie: on the first track of summer session, the half that ISN'T cancelled thanks to state funding problems) and it turns out to be my THEATER class. Hell. Yes. I'm gonna go to that. I'm on the wait list, but I'm spot number two so I'm stoked. This was what I wanted to go to school for anyway, right alongside art, so... I'll take it as a sign.
