GODDAMNIT! My most used copic marker has officially died. Only a matter of time, but this means I can't work on any more of the drawings until I get a new one. SURE they're only a few bucks, but does anyone have any money they can give me for a stupid marker? GAH! They're like six bucks each, and I have to pray the store has the particular style of gray's I use. I hate being broooooke.

PS: I couldn't get through to the unemployment office after a dozen attempts, so I have to try again monday.

[EDIT: Five seconds fucking later] So yeah, I just went to shade what I could and used my 'colorless' blend pen to fade the colors together-- NOT ONLY is THAT now officially out, but the last of the chemicals stained the page green! GREEN! FROM A COLORLESS BLENDER!

Time to pack away the shit tonight and enjoy my little sister's birthday beach party tomorrow... As opposed to the psycho variety.

So I'm shipping out the first batch of art cards tomorrow. Since they're gonna be there so soon, I scanned them in and figured I'd post 'em up online. If you're on the following list and don't want to know which is yours, just skip the rest of this post, haha.

Had an impromptu trip to the Getty museum with my dad and sister, which was pretty awesome. Dad just rang me up and asked "What're you doing?" Being totally honest I said "Not a thing."

"Want to go to the Getty?"

"HELL YEAH!" It was only open for like an hour and a half after we got there, but it was awesome to go.

In other news I double-checked my schedule for classes, and only one of the classes I was signed up for is still open (ie: on the first track of summer session, the half that ISN'T cancelled thanks to state funding problems) and it turns out to be my THEATER class. Hell. Yes. I'm gonna go to that. I'm on the wait list, but I'm spot number two so I'm stoked. This was what I wanted to go to school for anyway, right alongside art, so... I'll take it as a sign.

So a few really neat things have been happening, which I need to share.

1_ I absolutely fucking adore San Francisco. No, like, seriously. It reminds me of Venice/Santa Monica, only gayer and more urban, and I fucking LOVE IT. My plan is to move here in six months. Not goal, plan.

2_ Marlene and Jocelyn have asked me to chair with Queer Control Records. I'm not sure where exactly they need me, but talking to Marlene and about what I'm capable of... they have use for me (not to mention I'm totally awesome and they can't imagine life without me).

3_ They're asking me to come up with design ideas for their next tee-shirt. I've already started sketching.

4_ A guy, Fraser, is asking me to illustrate a two-page comic for their web show, Night Is Day. It's from Scotland, and it's about superheroes! I imagine ru_salki99 has something to do with that ^_^

5_ I'm going to be looking into the Academy of Art University, speaking of art.

6_ I'm totally getting a haircut tomorrow. I'm'a be stylin'!

He'd recently posted a photo of a little kid standing beside the several sets of prosthetic legs he's had growing up. This is kind of an extension of that.

1_ I filed my tax return, and it's been accepted. Soon enough I shall have some money so I can buy myself a new PC. It's a bitter-sweet thing, 'cause now this means I have to cancel my plans on heading down to California in the summer.

2_ I've talked about it with the band, and while they're not fully supportive for their own reasons they agree, I think, that we need to kick Vanessa. Tomorrow is gonna suck.

3_ Working on a Firefly fic. Anyone interested in beta'ing it in a while?

4_ My friend Mitch made me some Death Head fan art! How neat is that? I don't even have a real comic, and yet I have fan art. His name is Chase Donovan, only after I forced Mitch to name him, haha.



5_ Speaking of death, I was playing Left 4 Dead versus and on one level my team UTTERLY ANNIHILATED the other team in less than a minute. I know I don't talk much game stuff here, but that was worth noting. Almost as epic as when I was made tank on the rooftop, jumped into the helicopter and killed EVERYONE.

It has come to my attention that somehow, some way, I never seemed to actually ever post this picture that I had finished MONTHS ago to anywhere but my deviantART. Time to fix.

From an upcoming dumb little meme, but I've been sitting on this and I'm digging it too much not to post. Even if it is just a quick rough sketch.

PS: Can someone pleeeease help me, and link me to a video of the Doctor Who christmas special? Finding these videos is so not my specialty, but I desperately wanna watch it.

This is a guy I drew a while ago, and decided to try my hand at toning it rather then coloring. Not thrilled, but it's a good first attempt. Behind the cut are some of the christmas gifts that're done. Two of them are for non-LJ people, but one of them is for someone on here. I won't say which is whose, just to keep it fresh'ish ^_^

3 of 13 fully inked, finally. So terribly sorry, I thought I'd be done by now but... well, fuck me, I got lazy haha. My goal is to be done with the last ten by the weekend. I can do that (hell, I did one and a half of the drawings only in the past three hours and they're pretty good). All should be shipped before mid-month, I SWEAR it.
